Position Summary: The Physical Therapist Assistant evaluates, administers and directs administration of therapeutic procedures utilized in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation as prescribed by a referring practitioners. Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals as appropriate based on the level of patient contact this position requires.
Essential Functions: The Physical Therapist Assistant responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: 1.) Performs initial patient evaluations, establishes goals and plan of care for all new patients referred for care. 2.) Performs a variety of physical therapy patient care activities with patients of all ages. 3.) Operates and maintains a variety of supplies and equipment. 3.) Supervises the clinical patient care of therapy assistants and techs. 4.) Provides all required documentation on each patient. 5.) Establishes goals of physical therapy and re-assesses patient’s progress
Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy. Current Oklahoma Physical Therapy license OR be eligible for license in the state of Oklahoma AND able to practice under the Oklahoma Physical Therapy Practice Act.
Current BLS or CPR certification
