Registered Nurse – $2K Signing Bonus

JOB SUMMARY

A clinically competent, registered nurse who delivers care to patients through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. Effectively interacts with patient, significant others, and other health team members, while maintaining standards of professional nursing for the age groups served.  Other duties as assigned.

DUTIES

  • Supervises the work of the LPNs and C.N.A.s.
  • Assign the nursing care of each patient to other nursing personnel in accordance with the patient’s acuity and the nursing staff available. (OHA 310:667-15-3e)
  • Assess, plan, supervise, and evaluate the nursing care for each patient. (OHA 310:667-39-9 e.1)
  • Assure that each inpatient has a nursing care plan that includes assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation, to be revised as necessary. (OHA 310:667-39-9 e.2)
  • Delegates such tasks as may safely be performed by others, consistent with educational preparation and that do not conflict with the provisions of the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act.
  • Be trained and currently certified to perform cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and be knowledgeable of all critical access hospital emergency protocols. (OHA 310:667-39-9 e.7)
  • Provides supervision of patient care and staff performance, based on patient acuity. (OHA 310:667-15-3d)
  • Communicates with all members of the healthcare team.
  • Performs triage/assessment on every Emergency Room patient.
  • Notes physician orders with date, time, signature and title.
  • Administers medications as stipulated by the policies and procedures of the facility.
  • Available for bedside care of any patient when needed. (OHA 310:667-15-3a)
  • Courteous to all members of the hospital staff.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.One year of RN experience required. Graduate of a state accredited school of nursing. Licensed to practice in the State of Oklahoma. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Current CPR card or completion of course within 30 days of hire. Current ACLS card or completion of course within 1 year of hire. Current PALS card or completion of course within 1 year of hire.Must have strength and stamina for prolonged walking, standing, and dealing with stressful situations. Able to hear or correctable with hearing devices, and able to talk to converse with others in person and by telephone. Demonstrate adequate vision or correctable with glasses, to read and write. Able to frequently lift at least 60 lbs, reach, pull, push, bend, stoop, and kneel. Able to hear, see, and feel to accurately assess, monitor, and administer care. Possess fine motor skills and hand/eye coordination to give care (i.e.: insert catheters, start IV’s, administer medications, and handle instruments).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have strength and stamina for prolonged walking, standing, and dealing with stressful situations. Able to hear or correctable with hearing devices, and able to talk to converse with others in person and by telephone.  Demonstrate adequate vision or correctable with glasses, to read and write.  Able to frequently lift at least 60 lbs, reach, pull, push, bend, stoop, and kneel.  Able to hear, see, and feel to accurately assess, monitor, and administer care.  Possess fine motor skills and hand/eye coordination to give care (i.e.:  insert catheters, start IV’s, administer medications, and handle instruments).
